When we’re born, we are born helpless, defenseless, relying on others to keep us safe.
As we grow older some of us along the way realize that it’s better to rely on ourselves for that same safety and security. Rather than expecting others to keep doing it for us.
These skills come at a price, professions change you, martial arts change you, intimacy with violence changes you.
The tear shed in this design is meant to represent the old you. The you that was helpless and defenseless. Now you’re what’s underneath. There’s no going back.
